Control Freak LIDA-D DALI AC Controller for 2 Fans or 4 Relays

The Control Freak LIDA-D is an Australian-designed, DIN-rail mounted DALI AC controller designed to manage up to two ceiling fans or four relays/contactors. It is a DALI-2 compliant device that can control up to four standard DALI devices and supports Device Type 7 (Switching Gear) commands. Technical Specifications • Power Input: 8-40VDC; 50mA minimum (up to 1.2A if direct powering 240mA loads). • Mains Connection: Single Active terminal (A/A IN), similar to an MCB. • Outputs: 4 channels rated at 240mA each. • Mounting: Standard DIN rail. Operating Modes • The device utilises an internal bitswitch to select between two primary modes: • Relay Mode: Controls 1 to 4 relays/contactors. Outputs are configurable as Normally Open (NO) or Normally Closed (NC). It utilizes DALI Type 7 switching points, allowing for custom Up/Down Switch-On and Switch-Off thresholds. • Fan Mode: Controls 1 or 2 ceiling fans using external capacitors (not included). In this mode, "High" speed is approximately 85% of the fan's maximum rated speed. Control & Logic • DALI Addressing: Configurable via bitswitch to appear as 1, 2, 3, or 4 DALI devices. • Fan Speed Mapping: Speeds are triggered by specific DALI arc levels: Off (0-25%), Medium (26-50%), and High (76-100%). • Kick-start: An optional kick-start feature can be enabled via bitswitch for fan applications. • Fading: Supports standard DALI fade times and Extended Fade times. • Diagnostics: Includes a memory bank accessible via DALI containing UID, hardware, and software versions
