Description
The SLAMMO DT8 RGBW is an Australian-made, multi-protocol smart LED dimmer designed for constant voltage, common anode LED loads. This model is in a PCB assembly (PCA) form factor, measuring 235 x 67 x 29 mm, and is intended for integration without an external enclosure.
Performance & Electrical
• Power Handling: Supports a maximum load of 600W @ 24VDC or 300W @ 12VDC in environments 40°C.
• Current Capacity: Rated for 10A per channel with a 25A total device limit.
• Input Voltage: Operates between 7-48VDC; input voltage must match the DC requirement of the connected LEDs.
• High-Resolution Dimming: Features standard 400Hz PWM, with an RDM-selectable 1200Hz dithered mode to approximate a 16-bit dimming curve.
Protocol & Control
• Multi-Protocol Support: DALI (DT8 RGBW functionality), DMX512, RDM, or DSI.
• DALI DT8 Implementation: DALI-2 standards, responding to Type 6 commands, dimming curve selection, and fast fade facilities.
• Configurable Outputs: Through RDM, the device can be set to different output types:
o RGBW/Normal: 4 individual channels (CH 1-4).
o White: 2 pairs for Tuneable White applications (Inputs 1 controls CH 1 & 3; Input 2 controls CH 2 & 4).
o RGB: 3 individual channels (CH 1-3) with the 4th output idle.
• Manual Configuration: Onboard 10-way dipswitches allow for manual protocol selection and DMX start-addressing (1 to 508).
• Reverse PWM option available.
Hardware Protection & Monitoring
• Fused Outputs: Each of the four outputs is protected by a 15A short-circuit fuse.
• Diagnostic LEDs: Four onboard mimic LEDs (Red, Green, Blue, White) provide instant visual verification of channel output levels.
• Thermal Management: The PCA has a maximum operating temperature of 70°C and requires adequate air movement for cooling.
