The SLAMMO V5 IP54 DT8 RGBW is an Australian-made, multi-protocol smart LED dimmer designed for constant voltage, common anode LED loads. This version is housed in an IP54-rated extruded aluminium enclosure featuring transparent end plugs and cable glands for environmental protection. Electrical & Thermal Performance • Load Capacity: Supports a maximum load of 600W @ 24VDC or 360W @ 12VDC in ambient temperatures 40°C. • Total Output: The total for all four outputs must not exceed 480W (calculated as 25A @ 24VDC or 30A @ 12VDC). • Channel Limits: No individual channel should be loaded with more than 12A to account for LED inrush current at start-up. • Voltage Range: Operates at 7-48VDC; the input voltage must match the requirement of the connected LEDs. • Thermal Management: The internal PCA has a maximum design temperature of 70‚C and requires adequate air movement. Control Protocols & Output Modes • DALI-2 DT8 Integration: The device is DALI version 2 compliant and supports Type 6/8 commands, including dimming curve selection (logarithmic or linear) and fast fade facilities. • Multi-Protocol Support: Compatible with DMX512, RDM, and DSI protocols9. • Configurable Outputs: Through RDM, the device output type can be set for different applications: o RGBW/Normal: 4 individual channels for RGBW (CH 1, 2, 3, and 4). o White: 2 pairs for Tuneable White; Input 1 controls CH 1 & 3 (Warm White), and Input 2 controls CH 2 & 4 (Cool White). • Reverse PWM (Device Invert): A reverse PWM option is available via RDM (Parameter ID 0x8006), allowing the output to be inverted for fixtures requiring flipped logic. • PWM Dithering: The output frequency can be increased from 400Hz to 1200Hz via RDM to provide an approximated 16-bit dimming curve. Physical Construction & Protection • Enclosure: Extruded aluminium measuring 268 x 97 x 48 mm (324mm length including glands). • Cable Management: Supplied with four M20 glands for 6–12mm OD circular cables, including reducing seals for 5–9mm cables. • Visual Monitoring: Features internal mimic LEDs for Output 1 (Red), 2 (Green), 3 (Blue), and 4 (White). • Fused Protection: Each of the four channels is protected by a 15A short-circuit fuse (Littlefuse model 0451015). • Safety Features: Includes transient protection for the DMX transceiver and DC input, plus a 500mA self-resetting polyfuse on the DC input.
