The SLAMMO V5 PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) is an Australian-made, multi-protocol smart LED dimmer designed for constant voltage, common anode LED loads. This version is provided in an open-frame form factor for direct integration into custom housings or luminaires. Performance & Electrical • Load Capacity: Supports a maximum load of 600W @ 24VDC or 300W @ 12VDC in ambient environments kept below 40°C. • Current Capacity: Each of the four outputs handles up to 10A per channel, with a maximum device total of 25A. • Voltage Range: Designed to operate between 7-48VDC; input voltage must be matched to the requirement of the connected LEDs. • Thermal Limits: The board is rated for a maximum design temperature of 70°C and requires adequate air movement for cooling. Control Protocols & Logic • Multi-Protocol Interface: Compatible with DALI (DALI-2/Type 6), DMX512, RDM, and DSI protocols, though only one may be active at a time. • DMX Personalities: Offers five personalities ranging from 4-channel basic dimming to 16-channel advanced control with strobe and 16-bit (Fine) resolution. • Smooth Fading: Includes a 200Hz vector mode to remove DMX refresh rate limitations, providing high-resolution fade updates. • Reverse PWM (Device Invert): A reverse PWM option is available via RDM (Parameter ID 0x8006) for fixtures requiring 0% signal for 100% brightness. • PWM Dithering: Output frequency can be increased from 400Hz to a 1200Hz dithered mode via RDM for an approximated 16-bit dimming curve. Physical Interface & Monitoring • Form Factor: The PCA measures 235 x 67 x 29 mm and weighs approximately 0.15 kg. • Visual Status: Features four onboard mimic LEDs indicating real-time status for Output 1 (Red), 2 (Green), 3 (Blue), and 4 (White). • Connectivity: Equipped with RJ45 sockets for DMX, 2-core terminals for DALI/DSI, and high-current screw terminals for DC power and LED outputs. Protection Features • Short-Circuit Protection: Each output is individually protected by a 15A fuse (Littlefuse model 0451015). • Circuit Safeguards: Includes a 500mA self-resetting polyfuse on the DC input and is immune to accidental DC input reversal. • Data Integrity: Features transient protection for the DMX transceiver and over-voltage/spike protection for the DALI interface.
