The SLAMMO V5 PCBA DT8 is an Australian-made, multi-protocol smart LED dimmer designed for constant voltage, common anode LED loads. This version is provided as an open-frame PCB assembly (PCA) for integration into custom housings or luminaires. Performance & Electrical • Load Capacity: Supports a maximum load of 600W @ 24VDC or 300W @ 12VDC in ambient environments 40°C. • Current Handling: Rated for 10A per channel with a maximum total device load of 25A. • Voltage Range: Operates between 7-48VDC; input voltage must be matched to the specific requirement of the connected LEDs. • Thermal Management: The PCA has a maximum design temperature of 70°C and requires adequate air movement for cooling. Control Protocols & Output Modes • DALI-2 DT8 Integration: Complies with DALI version 2 and supports Type 8/Type 6 commands, including logarithmic or linear dimming curve selection. • Multi-Protocol Interface: Compatible with DMX512, RDM, and DSI protocols. • Configurable Outputs: The output type is selectable via RDM to suit various applications: o White (Tuneable): 2 pairs for warm/cool white; Input 1 controls CH 1 and 3 (Warm), and Input 2 controls CH 2 and 4 (Cool). o RGB: 3 individual channels utilizing CH 1, 2, and 3 only. o Normal/RGBW: 4 individual channels (CH 1-4). • Reverse PWM (Device Invert): Includes an RDM-selectable option to invert the PWM output for fixtures where 0% signal represents 100% brightness. • PWM Dithering: Features an RDM-selectable 1200Hz dithered mode to provide an approximated 16-bit dimming curve. Physical Interface & Protection • Form Factor: The PCA measures 235 x 67 x 29 mm and weighs approximately 0.15 kg. • Visual Monitoring: Onboard mimic LEDs provide real-time status for Output 1 (Red), 2 (Green), 3 (Blue), and 4 (White). • Short-Circuit Protection: Each of the four outputs is protected by a 15A fuse (Littlefuse 0451015). • Input Protection: Features a 500mA self-resetting polyfuse on the DC input and immunity from accidental DC input reversal. • Transient Protection: Built-in protection for the DMX transceiver and DC input, plus over-voltage/spike protection for the DALI line.
