Emergency Lighting – iXT Xtreme Linear LED Drivers supporting Emergency lighting
Emergency and security lighting systems require robust, automatic dual-input capability to quickly switch from AC mains to DC battery power in an emergency. The Philips Signify iXT HV Linear LED drivers feature this capability with their Central DC Operation function.

This system functions by the LED driver detecting a drop in the AC input voltage below a certain threshold, determining a grid failure, and switching to a connected central DC supply. This system does this seamlessly, with no noticeable flicker or delay to the LED modules.
The IXT range also features DC emergency dimming, also known as “DCemDIM”, enabling efficient energy conservation. This system defaults to 15% of the defined output; however, for emergency lighting manufacturers, you can modify this setting to your preferred value via the MultiOne configuration software during the lighting production phase.
